Kingdom Health for Kingdom Purposes:
Privacy policy
Effective Date: July 16, 2026
Kingdom Health for Kingdom Purposes ("we," "us," "our," or "the Ministry") is a Maryland-based non-profit organization. We are focused on sustaining the health of God's people. Drawing from Lifestyle Medicine research and the Word of God, we provide health-related training, education, resources, and prayer support to the body of Christ in fulfilling their God-appointed assignments.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through www.drlisamccoy.org (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect:
Information you give us directly, such as when you:
Submit a message through our "Ask Dr. McCoy" contact form
Sign up for our email list through "Connect With Us"
Request a booking (for example, a speaking engagement, class, or consultation)
Register for a course, book club, or event
Create an account, comment, or otherwise interact with the Site
This may include your name, email address, phone number, and any other details you choose to share in a message or form field. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal or medical information in an open contact form — see Section 6 below.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our Site (which is built and hosted on Squarespace) automatically collects certain technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and how you interact with the Site. This is gathered through cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 3).
Payment information (future use). We do not currently sell products, accept donations, or process payments on this Site. If we begin offering items for sale in the future — for example, digital access to a book — payment processing will be handled by a secure third-party payment processor (such as Squarespace Payments, Stripe, or PayPal). We do not store your full credit card information on our own servers; the processor handles that in accordance with its own privacy and security practices. We will update this Policy before any such feature goes live.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Respond to your questions or requests submitted through the contact or booking forms
Send you our newsletter, ministry updates, event announcements, and educational content, if you've signed up for our email list
Schedule and manage bookings, classes, and events
Improve the content, usability, and performance of the Site
Maintain the security of the Site and prevent misuse
Comply with applicable law
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to the ministry's mission described above.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Squarespace, our website platform, uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and may collect analytics about how visitors use it (for example, through built-in Squarespace analytics). These technologies help us understand which pages and resources are most helpful to visitors.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect how some parts of the Site function.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information with:
Service providers who help us operate the Site and ministry — for example, Squarespace (website hosting), our email newsletter provider, and (in the future, if applicable) a payment processor. These providers only access information as needed to perform their services and are bound by their own privacy obligations.
Legal or safety reasons — if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or if necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of the Ministry, our users, or others.
In connection with a change in our organization, such as a restructuring, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transition.
5. Email Communications
If you join our mailing list, we'll send you newsletters, resources, and updates related to our ministry. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may opt out at any time. Even after unsubscribing from marketing emails, we may still need to contact you directly regarding a specific request you've made (such as a booking).
6. Health Information & Educational Content
As stated in our site disclaimer, the content on this Site — including blog posts, courses, and resources — is provided for educational purposes only and does not constitute personal medical advice. Using our contact form, attending a class, or booking a session with us does not create a doctor-patient relationship, and this Site is not a substitute for care from your physician or another qualified health provider.
Because of this, please be thoughtful about what you share with us electronically. We recommend not including sensitive personal health details in open web forms or emails. If you have a medical question, please contact your own healthcare provider.
7. Children's Privacy
This Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy — for example, to respond to your inquiry, maintain your newsletter subscription, or comply with legal or recordkeeping obligations — after which we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable measures, and rely in part on the security practices of our service providers (such as Squarespace), to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you, or to opt out of marketing communications. To make such a request, contact us using the information in Section 12.
We are based in Maryland and do not currently direct our services specifically toward California residents; if that changes, or if applicable law otherwise requires it, we will update this Policy to reflect any additional rights (such as those under the California Consumer Privacy Act) that may apply to you.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will post the updated version here with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
